Job Description

The Bank Reconciliation Clerk is a vital support role within our finance team, focusing on the "matching" process of financial data. Your primary goal is to compare our internal transaction records against bank statements to ensure every cent is accounted for. This is a quiet, analytical role that rewards patience and a love for "solving the puzzle" of balanced numbers.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Statement Matching: Regularly download bank statements and compare them against internal ledger entries to identify matches or discrepancies.
  • Error Identification: Flag any "outstanding items" (such as checks not yet cleared or unrecorded deposits) for further review by the senior accountant.
  • Data Verification: Verify that all transaction dates, amounts, and descriptions are entered correctly into the system.
  • Routine Reporting: Prepare simple weekly summary reports of reconciled versus unreconciled accounts.
  • Digital Filing: Maintain organized digital folders of bank statements and reconciliation reports for internal record-keeping.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or an Associate Degree in Bookkeeping/Accounting.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of experience. We are happy to provide comprehensive training for fresh graduates who are comfortable with numbers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, and basic formulas). Familiarity with any accounting software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: High level of honesty, a quiet focus on repetitive tasks, and great attention to detail.
  • Work Setup Readiness: Must have a reliable internet connection for remote days and be able to commute to our Taguig office for team coordination.
