Key Responsibilities:
Sanitation and Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
Restroom Management: Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Waste Disposal: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring proper waste segregation is followed.
Minor Upkeep: Report or perform minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed (e.g., changing lightbulbs, clearing small clogs).
Safety Compliance: Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are safely stored and that work practices comply with health and safety standards.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: Basic education or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience: Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is highly desirable.
Physical Fitness: The role requires physical activity, including bending, lifting moderate loads (e.g., waste bins, cleaning supplies), and standing/walking for much of the shift.
Reliability: High degree of trustworthiness, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing sanitation needs.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners), and safety procedures.
