Job Description

The Maintenance Staff (Junior Technician) is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, minor facility repairs, and assisting senior technicians with complex maintenance tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the corporate building and all operational systems (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) are functional, safe, and well-maintained. This position requires hands-on technical aptitude and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minor Repairs & Upkeep: Perform basic repair work on building fixtures, office furniture, doors, windows, and drywalls (e.g., painting, patching, carpentry).

  • Technical Assistance: Assist licensed Electricians and Plumbers with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical wiring, light fixtures, plumbing systems, and basic air conditioning units, strictly under direct supervision.

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct routine physical inspections and scheduled checks on facility equipment (e.g., generators, pumps, fire suppression systems) and perform PM tasks as instructed.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and promptly report major malfunctions, hazards, or maintenance issues to the Facilities Supervisor.

  • Inventory & Tools: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workshop/tools and manage basic inventory of supplies and spare parts.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Vocational course certificate (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Building Technology) or a High School Diploma with relevant on-the-job training.

  • Experience: 0-1 year of experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, or a technical assistant role is preferred. Fresh graduates from technical/vocational schools are welcome to apply.

  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of at least two core maintenance disciplines: minor electrical, plumbing, or carpentry. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a must.

  • Soft Skills: Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward facility upkeep. Must be able to follow detailed verbal and written safety instructions (SOPs).

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb short ladders as necessary. Ability to lift and carry equipment or supplies up to 15 kg. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for tasks requiring excessive height work or heavy lifting.

  • Work Setup Readiness: Must work on-site at the Taguig corporate premises and be flexible for occasional emergency work outside of standard hours.
