Key Responsibilities:
Data Encoding: Accurately and efficiently encode handwritten and digitized medical data (patient demographics, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, insurance details) into the central EHR/Hospital Information System.
Quality Assurance: Verify the completeness and accuracy of medical records before and after encoding, flagging any discrepancies or missing information for follow-up.
Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to all protocols regarding data privacy, security, and confidentiality for all protected health information.
Filing & Archiving: Assist in the systematic organization, filing, and archiving of physical medical records as per regulatory retention guidelines.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the Billing and Records departments as needed.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: High School Graduate or equivalent is required. A vocational certificate or degree in Medical Records Technology, Office Administration, or a related field is a significant advantage.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data encoding, clerical work, or medical records handling is preferred. Experience with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: High typing speed and accuracy are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience using or willingness to learn specific Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
Soft Skills: Superior attention to detail, high level of integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility regarding sensitive information.
- Work Setup Readiness: Must work on-site in the Taguig administrative office to access secure, dedicated workstations and controlled hard-copy patient files.
