Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Entry: Accurately collect and input quantitative and qualitative data from field reports, sensor readings, and manual logs into the central agricultural database (Farm Management Information System - FMIS).
Record Management: Maintain digital and hard-copy records of all farming cycles, input usage (fertilizer, seed), and output results, ensuring traceability and compliance.
Field Verification: Conduct occasional, scheduled visits to nearby controlled research plots (accessible locations) to verify data accuracy and collect specific samples or readings.
Reporting: Generate standardized reports and dashboards detailing key agricultural performance indicators (KPIs) for the farm management team.
Process Standardization: Assist in developing standardized procedures for efficient and uniform data collection across all farm sites.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in data entry, record-keeping, or a research support role. Familiarity with agricultural or biological terminology is an advantage.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, simple formulas) and experience using or willingness to learn database software/FMIS platforms.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and high integrity for handling sensitive operational data.
- Work Setup Readiness: Must be comfortable with significant time spent on computer-based data entry and analysis in the office, but also willing to undertake limited, controlled field visits where mobility accommodations will be ensured.
