Key Responsibilities:
CAD Drafting & Modeling: Create and modify 2D drawings and complex 3D models of components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Design Analysis: Perform basic engineering calculations, including tolerance stacking, material selection, and simple stress analysis to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
Prototyping Support: Collaborate with the R&D technicians to oversee the construction and testing of prototypes, documenting test procedures and results.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), specification sheets, and revision control records.
- Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, production teams, and procurement specialists to ensure designs are cost-effective and feasible for mass production.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Non-board passers are welcome to apply; a professional license (ME) is a plus.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or product development. Relevant academic projects or internships are highly valued.
Technical Proficiency: Mandatory proficiency in at least one professional 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor). Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Analytical Skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to detail and accuracy.
- Work Setup Readiness: Must work on-site at the Taguig R&D facility to access specialized equipment, physically inspect prototypes, and collaborate directly with the lab team.
