Job Description

The Construction Project Document Controller is vital to the efficiency and compliance of Central Heavenly Corporation’s large-scale construction projects. You will be responsible for the accurate tracking, filing, and distribution of all project documentation, including architectural drawings, technical specifications, contracts, and transmittals. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that all project teams (Engineering, Procurement, and Management) are working with the latest, controlled versions of documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Management System (DMS): Operate and maintain the electronic and hard-copy filing system for all project-related documents, ensuring easy retrieval and security.

  • Drawing Control: Manage the lifecycle of all construction drawings (revisions, approvals, and distribution) using standard naming and version control protocols.

  • Transmittal Processing: Prepare, send, and track transmittals, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and engineering change orders (ECOs) to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

  • Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits of documentation to ensure all parties are compliant with corporate and regulatory standards.

  • Reporting: Generate reports on document status, control, and accessibility for the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Office Administration, Library Science, Civil Engineering (non-board passers), or a related field.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in document control, records management, or administration, preferably within the construction, engineering, or architecture industries.

  • Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) or document control software. Familiarity with basic CAD viewing software is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work systematically under tight deadlines.

  • Work Setup Readiness: Must be willing to work primarily on-site in a project site office (which will be a controlled, accessible office environment) to directly manage physical documents and interact with site engineers.
